Tteokbokki (Recipe)
Tteok-bokki is a Korean meal. It's a dish made of tubular rice or fish cakes, served with a spicy sauce.
Ingredients :
- 500g of Tteok (tubular rice cakes)
- Thin red chilli pepper powder (Gochugaru)
- Red chilli pepper paste (Gochujang)
- Oligodang (Fructose Syrup)
- Soy sauce
- Sugar
- 500-600ml of water
Instructions :
1. Rinse the tteok in cold water
2. Put them in a pot or frying pan and cover them with water
3. Add 1-2 spoons of Sugar
4. Add 2-3 spoons of Gochujang (you can adjust the dose depending if you like it spicy or not so much)
5. Add 1 spoon of Gochugaru
6. Add 2-3 spoons of soy sauce
7. Add 1-2 spoons of Oligodang syrup
8. Wait for it to boil, then lower the heat to let it cook on low heat. Let it cook until the sauce is reduced and the tteok are soft.
Enjoy!
My opinion : I love this dish as well! a bit spicy, but very delicious!
