Tokyo

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. Tokyo contains 23 different areas. It's really a city that I love even though I've never been there (but soon I will) because it's a very futuristic city, at night it's really beautiful with all those lights and high buildings....

Here is the list of things to see and to do in Tokyo :

- Shibuya : Shibuya is an area of Tokyo. It's THE area to go if you go to Tokyo. It's really exciting there, there is lot of people and things, lot of malls and department stores, and other touristic things that will surely make you NOT bored there!

- Harajuku :  It's a district in Shibuya area. It's THE district of crazy Japanese fashion. There, you'll see lot of people dressed as anime style, kawaii, gothic lolita ect... The ideal district for young people who love creative outfits and fashion style. You can dress however you want there, nobody will judge you!

- Shibuya Crossing :  The famous crossing that you have to experience in Tokyo! When people cross the road there, it's thousand and thousand of people who meet at once! Really amazing to see!

- Starbucks :  A mall where you can drink coffee, chill out etc... But it's especially because it's located just over the Shibuya crossing that you have to go there! You get a beautiful view of the Shibuya crossing!

- Hachiko Statue :  It's a dog statue. But not any dog! The famous dog Hachiko! If you don't know the story, here it is :  in 1924, A college teacher went to work by train every morning. His dog, named Hachiko, waited for him at the Shibuya Station. He waited for him to go back from work. One day, the college teacher dies at work. But the dog, Hachiko, stay sit at the Station for days and hopelessly waits for his owner to come back. The incredible loyality of the dog and this story touched the heart of many Japanese people and then the Japanese people decided to create a statue of this dog. Now if you go to Tokyo, and see that statue, you'll know what is it about!

- Ueno Park :  This is a big park... Known for it's trees... And cherry blossoms! It's THE park you have to go if you want to admire cherry blossoms! If you go to that park, better go during the time of Cherry blossoms (Late March - Begin of April). There is alot of cherry trees and cherry blossoms there. People go there to take pictures of it, but not only. They sit there and eat foods as well. Lot of foods are sold there, especially the famous Hanami dango, eaten during the time / celebration of Cherry blossoms. (Go see my post about Hanami dango if you want to know more!)

Tokyo Tower :  Inspirated from Eiffel Tower, It's the tower that is located in the center of Tokyo. Taller than Eiffel Tower, Tokyo Tower brightens up and shines at night, with it's vivid red/orange color. It's also one of the things you have to see and visit in Tokyo!
