Sushi (Recipe)

(The pics above are home-made sushi that I made myself!)

Ingredients (6 people) :

- 1kg of Japanese sushi rice

- Rice Vinegar

- Salt, Sugar

- Raw fresh Salmon

- Raw fresh Red Tuna

- Nori Seaweed

- Avocados

- Soy sauce

- Sliced ginger

- Wasabi

Instructions :

For the Rice :

1. Cook the rice in boiled water. Wait for it to be less hot

2. Mix the rice vinegar in a glass with a big spoon of sugar and a tea spoon of salt.

3. Mix well with spoon until Sugar completely disappears

4. Pour the mix little by little on every parts of the rice and mix well with a spoon.

For the Makizushi :

1. Place a nori seaweed on the length direction on the table with a water bowl.

2. Put your fingers inside the water bowl and spread a little water with your fingers on the nori seaweed to make it wet (not too much)

3. Spread the rice on every part of the nori seaweed exept at the top side

4. Cut a long thin slice of salmon and place it on length direction at the bottom side of the nori seaweed

5. Roll the nori seaweed while spreading a little water (with your fingers) on the top side to close the roll easily

6. Place in the fridge

7. Cut the roll in round slices of around 2cm of thickness. The result should look like makizushi! Enjoy!

You can do the same things with the raw red tuna and avocado as well. Just replace the salmon with red tuna or avocado and re-do the same proceed.

For the Nigirizushi :

1. Make a rice ball with the hands. Put a little water on the fingers to avoid having the rice stick to the fingers.

2. Place a thin slice of salmon (or red tuna, or avocado) on the rice ball.

3. Place in the fridge

Serve the makizushi and nigirizushi with soysauce, sliced ginger and wasabi.

Enjoy!
