Girls Generation (SNSD)

SNSD (stands for So Nyeo Shi Dae) Or Girls Generation, is a South Korean girlband. They made their debut in 2007. They were originally 9 members. Tiffany, Taeyeon, Jessica, Yoona, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Seohyun, Yuri and Sunny. In 2014, Jessica leaves the group. Nowadays, three other members have left (Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun). They are now 5 members. Their first song is Into the new world. Their most popular song is Gee. They sing both Korean and Japanese versions of their songs. They also sang one of their songs in English (The Boys).

This group mostly contains full korean members except for Jessica and Tiffany, they are korean of origin but born in USA. They speak very good English, then. Each member has their own thing: Hyoyeon (born 1989) is a great dancer, Yuri (1989) is a good dancer as well, Taeyeon (1989) has a powerful voice and can hits high notes easily, Jessica (1989) has a pretty voice, Seohyun (1991) is youngest of the group yet has a powerful vocals, Tiffany (1989) has a fun and extrovert personality, Sunny (1989) has aegyo (sweet, cute) vocals, Sooyoung (1990) has long thin beautiful legs and is the tallest of the group, and finally, Yoona (born 1990), can dance and is also considered the prettiest member by Korean fans (due to her pretty face and thin body line).

This group is now disbanded (since 2020 if I don't mistaken), but they were very popular back in 2009-2014 era, and they are the one who paved the way for new groups in kpop , nowadays Kpop wouldn't be as popular if SNSD didn't exist. They are a whole package: Beauty, Talent, sexy without being vulgar or provocative, lot of charisma on stage but geniunly kind and fun girls behind stage, they are very down to earth and not like "look at me im the best" kind of attitude. They are legends.

My opinion :  I love them! they are beautiful and talented! They can make swag/badass songs (The Boys, I Got A Boy, Catch Me If You Can, Bad Girl, U Think) as well as cute songs ( Gee, Oh!) and also sexy songs (Genie) and inspirational beautiful songs (Into The New World). They're so versatile!

They have good vocalists (especially Taeyeon) and great dancers (especially Hyoyeon). They're called "Nation's Girlgroup" in South Korea, since they're so great!

The 5th video (I Got A Boy in Live version) showcase those girls talent very well: They are able to dance and sing AT THE SAME TIME, and yet they sound perfect! They're very talented!

The very first video (The Boys Remix Live in USA at Letterman Show) is my favorite live performance of SNSD!!  First off, Taeyeon's high note with "my heaaaaaaaart"  is AMAZING!  second, they dance very very well! they can sing AND dance. 3rd, They are super beautiful! with black outfits and their makeup is on point (no vulgar, not too much makeup) just a little bit, with some small glitters around their eyes, which makes them very pretty!  Yoona is pretty in this live performance but the most beautiful one is SOOYOUNG. With her beautiful face, smooth hair and her long thin legs!  Plus, their english is very good! Good english, good dancing, good singing and gorgeous looks! They are the best, in my opinion. I wish I could go back to 2011.

What do you think?
