Rainie Yang, born June, 4th, 1984, in Taipei (Taiwan), is a Taiwanese singer and actress. She starts her career as a soloist singer in 2005. She speaks Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Japanese and English. She's one of the most popular artists in Taiwan. She's known as Rainie Yang professionally, but her real name is Yang Cheng-Lin.

My Opinion : My favorite Taiwanese singer! her ballads are beautiful (Ai Mei, Dai Wo Zou, Guo Min, Xi Guan) and her upbeat songs are catchy (Lang Lai Le, Ban Shu Xuan Yan).
She has a very sweet and soothing voice (especially in the song Ai Mei , Ke Ai and Guo Min). Sure, her voice isn't powerful like Whitney Houston, but her voice is the kind of voice that makes you feel relaxed. She has a "lullaby" type of voice. She's also a good dancer (Lang Lai Le music video). She's also an actress, she acted in Taiwanese TV Series like Why Why Love and Devil Beside You, with male actor Mike He. (they are a cute couple :3 )
This girl can do everything! Singer, dancer, actress... And she speaks Mandarin (her native tongue), Cantonese, English and Japanese. Looks-wise, she's very cute , And not vulgar (none of her music videos have "provocative" vibes, I mean, she doesn't show skin). Which I admire a lot from her, and from Asian female singers in general, is that they sell their music thanks to their TALENT. And not thanks to their body (unlike American female singers).
