Jolin Tsai (real name: Cai Yi-Lin, Cai being the last name and Yi-Lin being the first name) is a Taiwanese singer. She debuted in 1999 with the song "Goodbye" when she was 18. She's one of the most popular singers in Taiwanese music, along with Rainie Yang.
Vocal-wise she can sing, and also dance. Looks-wise, she used to be very cute, too bad she got plastic surgery later on, I think she didn't need any of that, because she already was naturally pretty in my opinion.
During her debuts, lot of people called her "the britney spears from Taiwan" but only because of her musical style, and her outfits. People compared her to the young version of Britney, not the nowadays britney, because Jolin Tsai didn't turn "bad" or anything, she's still very talented and mentally healthy, despite that I think her plastic surgery was a wrong idea, since she was already a natural beauty.
Songs I like from Jolin Tsai are: Shuo Ai Ni (I love the electric guitar parts at the start and the end of the song) very catchy song. And I also like song "Love Love Love" because it sounds very romantic and relaxing.
