F(x) - Korean Girlband from the 2010's

 

F(x) was a south korean girlband that was popular around 2010's. (they debuted in 2009 and disbanded in 2020). They weren't as popular as Girls Generation (SNSD), but they still had many fans. Their songs are mostly catchy and "electro-pop" sound (Nu ABO, Electric Shock, etc...).  The group contains 5 members :   Krystal (Real name: JUNG Soo-Jung, born 1994), Luna (Real name: PARK Seon-Young, born 1993), Victoria (real name: SONG Qian, born 1987), Amber (real name: LIU Yi-Yun, born 1992) and finally Sulli (real name: CHOI Jin-Ri, born 1994, and died in 2019 (Rest in peace little angel). 

Three of the members are foreigners (not korean). Victoria is Chinese, Amber is Taiwanese-American, and Krystal is Korean-American. Only Luna and Sulli are full Koreans.  Victoria and Amber had to learn Korean language before debuting in f(x). 

This group is very unique, because each member has their own particular thing: Victoria is super flexible, she can flip forward (in the music video "CHU" for example), she also can raise her leg and reach her head with it) She is also an awesome dancer. Luna, is considered the best vocalist in the group, she has the most powerful voice out of all the members. Krystal has a nice voice too, but not as powerful as Luna's.  Sulli was considered the best "visual" (good-looking member) of the group, due to her babyface and very sweet vocals. And finally, Amber, is the member that is totally different from other members of the group, because she's a tomboy and got an androgynous look, lot of people mistake her with a guy.

My fav song is Nu ABO. The dance is complicated but the f(x) girls dance it very well! The tune is catchy and badass sounding. Krystal's hair is iconic and creative (black hair with some yellow layered strands, it fits her well!)

This group is one of my favorite groups/singers along with Girls Generation, TVXQ, BoA etc...  I really miss them, and miss also 2010's K-pop.
