                                    Le Temple Kinkakuji

                                      

Ce temple, appelé "Kinkakuji" (kin = "or" en Japonais), en français on l'appelle le pavillon d'or. A cause de sa couleur dorée, ce temple est encore plus beau à voir durant la fin de l'après-midi, quand le coucher du soleil se reflète sur le temple.

Pontocho

Pontocho est une petite ruelle japonaise à l'apparence très traditionelle, je conseille de visiter cet endroit seulement le soir ou la nuit, après que le soleil se soit couché. Car c'est encore plus magnifique la nuit avec toutes ces lumières (voir les photos au dessus) si vous visitez cet endroit durant le jour, ça n'aura pas le même effet, cette ruelle est beaucoup plus belle la nuit.

Tetsugaku No Michi

Tetsugaku no michi ("la route du philosophe" en français) est une rue japonaise située à Kyoto, avec deux routes de chaque côtés et au milieu une petite rivière (voir photo au dessus). Durant la période des cerisiers en fleurs, les deux routes sont sublimées par de magnifiques arbres cerisiers. Je recommande vivement de visiter cet endroit DURANT LA PERIODE DES CERISIERS EN FLEURS, pour une vue plus splendide.

Fushimi Inari

                                              

Voici le sanctuaire de Fushimi Inari, il y a un petit pont très joli (voir 1ère photo) et également une route encerclée de "barres" orange-rouges ressemblant à des allumettes, je pense que ça doit être très beau à voir, marcher dans cette petite ruelle avec ces jolies "allumettes" c'est une expérience à faire! 

Parc Maruyama

Le parc Maruyama, est très populaire pour son immense arbre (cerisier) en fleurs (voir photo ci dessus). C'est un arbre gigantesque, abritant de nombreuses fleurs de cerisiers, magnifique!  Un endroit à visiter surtout durant la période des cerisiers au Japon (fin Mars - début Avril) pour apprécier cet arbre encore plus! L'arbre, sans ses fleurs de cerisiers, parait un peu fade, mieux vaut visiter ce parc durant la période des cerisiers alors. 

Ginkakuji

                            Après le Kinkakuji (pavillon d'or), voici le Ginkakuji (pavillon d'argent), "Gin" signifiant "argenté" en Japonais. Contrairement au Kinkakuji qui est réellement de couleur or, ce Ginkakuji n'est pas vraiment bien argenté, mais il n'en reste pas moins joli, son petit jardin tout autour est très beau et zen. Mais je préfère quand même le Kinkakuji (pavillon d'or). 

                                          Kiyomizu Dera

                                                

                                                

                           Et enfin, terminons avec le temple Kiyomizu Dera. Un temple très joli également, avec un joli jardin japonais traditionel, un air de "zen" et de sérénité/prospérité dans les endroits comme celui-ci. 

C'est la fin de mon article à propos de Kyoto. N'hésitez pas à écrire les endroits à voir à Kyoto que j'ai oublié, dans les commentaires. Bref, Kyoto est une ville magnifique, c'est très différent de Tokyo, Tokyo étant plus moderne et même futuriste, Kyoto est plus proche du Japon "traditionnel" avec ses jardins, temples etc...  Les deux villes sont donc le contraire l'une de l'autre, mais les deux ont leur charme. Quand j'irai visiter le Japon un jour, ce sera Tokyo et Kyoto que j'irai voir! Deux villes magnifiques. Je trouve que le Japon, avec ses cerisiers en fleurs, ses jardins traditionnels, son architecture et paysages zen, je trouve que c'est le plus beau pays du monde, n'en déplaise aux français chauvins et patriotes qui affirment que la France est le plus beau pays, la beauté est subjective, et puis chacun ses goûts ^^

                                             Kyoto's interesting places to see

After the post about Tokyo, I said I would make one about Kyoto. And here we are. Kyoto is also a very beautiful city, with traditional gardens, temples, shrines... I like this city because it got such a nice traditional japanese culture vibe and landscapes. 

Places to visit :

                                            Kinkakuji

This temple, called Kinkakuji (kin = gold in Japanese), this is the golden temple. It's very beautiful to see, especially late in the afternoon when the sunset appears and makes the gold color shines out of this little beautiful japanese temple.

                                        Fushimi Inari

                                             

 

This is Fushimi Inari shrine, there is a small bridge (picture 2) but there is also a very beautiful road to walk on, which is a road surrounded by torii gates (picture 1) and it must be so pretty to see while walking around this area. Feels very traditional japanese-ish like.

                                   Tetsugaku No Michi

Tetsugaku no michi (Philosopher's path) is a road located in Kyoto, with two sides, and water in the middle (see pic above). The two sides of the roads, are surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms trees. Better visit Tetsugaku no michi's place when there is cherry blossoms time in Japan. 

                                       Ginkakuji

                                         

We saw the Kinkakuji (gold temple) and now this is Ginkakuji (silver temple) "Gin" means silver in Japanese. Well, as you can see, the temple is not really silver colored, but it is still a nice place to visit, the traditional garden around the Ginkakuji with lot of trees, bridges etc is a must to see. But I still think Kinkakuji (golden temple) is prettier :3

Pontocho 

                                           

                                              

Pontocho is a small traditional-like Japanese road, I recommand to visit it only at night or late evening, when there is no sun at all, as it's very pretty at night with the lights and all (see pictures above). Better visit it after sunset, than during day time, it's just not the same. 

Maruyama Park

Maruyama park is located in Kyoto. This park is popular for its HUGE cherry tree. Cherry blossoms are very beautiful, and this tree is very big and many cherry leaves/blossoms located in that tree. Very beautiful. I recommand to visit that park only during CHERRY BLOSSOMS time in Japan, otherwise the huge tree is less beautiful when there is no cherry blossoms on it. 

                                         Kiyomizu Dera

                                               

And finally, this is the temple Kiyomizu Dera. Another traditional temple with beautiful gardens, a vibe of "zen" and serenity/prosperity in places like these. 

This is the end of my post about Kyoto. Feel free to tell me in the comments below if I forgot some places to visit in Kyoto. Anyways, Kyoto is very very different from Tokyo, it's more traditional whereas Tokyo is more on the modern and even futuristic vibe. But I like both cities! They're very different from each other, but they both have their beauty. Oneday, when I'll visit Japan, Tokyo and Kyoto are definetely the 2 cities I wanna visit the most there!

                           Things to see and to do in Tokyo

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. Tokyo contains lot of areas and districts (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Edogawa etc...) This city is beautiful especially at night with all those lights and high-buildings. Tokyo is the opposite of Kyoto, Kyoto's landscapes being more "traditional" and more japan-ish while Tokyo is more futuristic-like. Both cities are then different from each other, but they are both beautiful and interesting. We'll talk about Tokyo on this post (I'll make a post about Kyoto too but later)

Things to see in Tokyo :

Ueno Park (Ueno Koen) :     

                                

Ueno Park is beautiful during the time of cherry blossoms. People go there to take pics of the trees and cherry flowers, but also can have lunch there, by bringing food and sit down on a towel, there is also areas where they sell food, such as hanami dango, which is eaten mostly during cherry blossoms era. 

                                       Yoyogi Park 

                                           

Yoyogi park is also a very beautiful park, very big one, with a huge water fountain. The park is even more beautiful during the time of cherry blossoms in Japan (Late March - Early April). 

                                    Shinjuku Park :

                                         

Shinjuku Park is also one of most beautiful parks in Tokyo. Looks very traditional, with little bridges over water, visually stunning trees, this park is also a place you have to visit during the cherry blossoms era !!!

                                            Tokyo Sky Tree 

                                                 

                     Tokyo Sky Tree, is a place in Japan which contains a very high tower. This place is more modern and futuristic-like than the previous parks I showed on this post. This place has the highest tower in Japan (see the first pic, above). You can go inside that tower and look at the very beautiful city from a very high spot. (see the second pic, above). This tower is huge also, it contains an aquarium with dolphins, fishes etc and also a planetarium, several restaurants, malls and even hotels. And also a very big Ice skating place during the winter.

Tokyo Sky Tree is definetely something you have to see if you visit Japan!

                                           Tokyo Tower

                                                 

Tokyo Tower is also a high tower, less high than Tokyo Sky Tree tower, but not less beautiful. Tokyo Tower is based on Eiffel Tower, but Tokyo Tower is higher than Eiffel one. During the night, Tokyo Tower let its vivid red-orange color shine bright , it's very beautiful to see at night (see pics above). 

                                             Shibuya Crossing

                                             

                          Shibuya Crossing is that huge road in Shibuya where lot of people cross the road at the same time. It's very beautiful to see, and amazing to experience, you have to cross that road too, if you visit Japan oneday, it's a great experience! Very beautiful to see also, from a high spot. There is a store called Starbucks in Tokyo, in which you can see the shibuya crossing view from a higher spot. 

                                        Harajuku : 

                                         

Harajuku is a district located in Shibuya area, in Tokyo. It's the district of creative Japanese fashion!  There, you can see young people (mostly teens and young adults) who are dressed as anime characters (cosplay), or in kawaii (cute) clothes, Sweet Lolita style, Gothic Lolita etc...  The second pic (the girl dressed in kawaii outfit) shows how people dress there. The first pic is the famous Takeshita Dori, a street in Harajuku, on Sunday, there is lot of people, dressed in creative outfits. There, you can wear whatever you want, you won't be judged !  I'm a fan of Japanese fashion style / outfit style, which I find very creative and cute, so this district (harajuku) is definetely something I have to see, when I'll go to Japan!

                                         Meiji-Jingu

                                          

                                    Meiji-Jingu is a shrine located in Tokyo. It's a very beautiful shrine with lot of temples there. Don't forget :  When you enter a temple or such religious/shintoist place in Japan, you have to take off your shoes before entering, it's a respectful and polite thing to do, also to not make the tatami floor dirty with your sneakers or shoes.

                                       Neko Cafe (Cat Cafe)

                                              

Neko cafe (neko means cat in Japanese), are very specific cafes. Those cafes contains lot of cats that walk around the bar. This is good for people who can't have pets, they then can enjoy the company of several cats during few hours, and drinking coffee at the same time. People there can pet the cats, play with them, or just sit down at a table and drinking some coffee or tea, and watching the cats walk around at the same time ^^   As I love cats, neko cafes are definetely something I have to experience when I'll go to Japan! It's very creative and original, as such bars do not exist at all in France (the country I'm from). 

                            And finally, Ebisu Garden Place

                                           

Ebisu (or Yebisu) Garden Place, is a huge place in Shibuya, full of restaurants, malls, etc it's a huge shopping area. If you would like to buy things in Japan, this is the place for you!

Anyways, Tokyo is a very interesting city, and Japan in general, is a fascinating country! 

 

                         Choses à voir et à faire à Tokyo

  Tokyo est la capitale du Japon. Elle contient beaucoup d'arrondissements, et la ville est de toute beauté quand il fait nuit, toutes ces lumières et ces haut gratte-ciels.. Tokyo est à l'opposé de Kyoto, Kyoto ayant des paysages beaucoup plus "traditionnels" et japonais. Tokyo a un aspect plus futuriste. Les deux villes sont différentes donc mais les deux sont belles. Nous allons parler ici de Tokyo (je ferai un article sur Kyoto mais plus tard)

Choses à voir à Tokyo :

                              Le Parc Ueno (Ueno Koen) 

Le parc Ueno est beau pendant la période des cerisiers en fleurs, les gens y viennent pour prendre des photos des cerisiers, et également organiser des pic-nics. C'est un très joli parc.

Parc Yoyogi

Le parc Yoyogi est également un très beau parc à visiter à Tokyo, très grand parc, avec une grande fontaine d'eau. Pour plus de beauté, il vaut mieux visiter ce parc durant la période des cerisiers en fleurs au Japon (fin mars début avril)

Parc Shinjuku :

                                          Le parc Shinjuku est également un parc à voir, très grand et très traditionnel, avec des ponts au dessus de l'eau, et des arbres magnifiques, à voir et visiter surtout pendant la période des cerisiers en fleurs, également.

                                              Tokyo Sky Tree :

                                              

                             Le Tokyo Sky Tree est un parc moderne qui contient une tour extrèmement haute (voir la photo numéro 2), on peut monter dans cette tour et admirer la vue magnifique de très haut (voir photo numéro 1). C'est la plus haute tour de Tokyo. Cette tour contient un planétarium, un aquarium, des centres commerciaux, des restaurants, des hôtels et même une très grande patinoire durant l'hiver.

Tokyo Sky Tree est un endroit à ne pas manquer si vous voulez visiter le Japon!

                                     Tokyo Tower 

                                            

                                                   

C'est également une très grande tour, moins grande que la Tokyo Sky Tree, mais pas moins jolie. Elle a été inspirée de la Tour Eiffel, mais est plus grande que cette dernière. La nuit, la tour de Tokyo s'illumine d'un rouge/orange flamboyant magnifique! A ne pas rater également, si vous allez à Tokyo.

Shibuya Crossing 

                              Le "Shibuya Crossing" (le carrefour de Shibuya), c'est ce qu'on voit dans les reportages sur le Japon à la télé, une route bondée de monde, énormément de gens y traversent la route, c'est très beau à voir. 

                                            Harajuku

                                    

                      Harajuku est un quartier situé dans l'arrondissement de Shibuya, à Tokyo. C'est LE quartier de la mode japonaise excentrique! Vous y verrez là bas des jeunes habillés en "manga" (cosplay), en kawaii / decora, en sweet lolita, gothic lolita etc...  La photo numéro 1 montre un exemple de comment les jeunes s'habillent là bas. La photo numéro 2 est la fameuse rue de Takeshita, une petite ruelle de Harajuku, très bondée le dimanche, avec beaucoup de gens habillés de façon originale. Là bas, personne ne vous jugera!  Etant une fan de la mode vestimentaire japonaise, que je trouve très créative, originale et mignonne, Harajuku est donc un quartier qu'il faut que je visite à tout prix! 

                                                 Meiji Jingu

                         Meiji-Jingu est un sanctuaire à Tokyo. Beaucoup de temples à visiter là bas. N'oubliez pas :  A chaque fois que vous entrez dans un temple, il vous faut enlever les chaussures, par signe de respect, et pour ne pas salir le sol en tatami. 

                                            Yebisu Garden Place

                                                 

                              Yebisu (ou Ebisu) Garden Place, est un immense endroit bondé de rues commerçantes, restaurants, magasins etc.. Idéal pour le shopping. Cet endroit se trouve dans l'arrondissement de Shibuya. 

                                           Mont Fuji 

                                        

La fameuse montagne japonaise! Un des trucs à voir et admirer également si vous allez au Japon.

Petit truc à savoir :  

Du fait de l'existence de différentes méthodes de transcription du japonais, le mont Fuji possède différents noms, dont certains sont erronés. Ainsi, en japonais, le mont Fuji se prononce Fujisan mais, en raison d'une erreur de lecture du kanji 山, il arrive que les Occidentaux l'appellent « Fujiyama ». Parler de « mont Fujiyama » est en tout cas une faute, yama signifiant déjà « montagne ».

                                    Et enfin, les bars à chats

                                           

                                                   

                         Les bars à chats (neko cafe [neko signifiant "chat" en japonais] ) sont des bars un peu spéciaux, car ils abritent des chats qui se promènent un peu de partout dans le bar. Idéal pour les gens qui ne peuvent pas avoir d'animal de compagnie, ils peuvent ainsi profiter de la présence de nombreux chats pendant quelques heures, tout en sirotant son café. On peut caresser les chats, jouer avec eux, ou tout simplement consommer une boisson (café, thé etc) tout en regardant les chats qui passent. Moi qui adore les chats, je veux absolument visiter les neko cafe quand j'irai au Japon! C'est une expérience très originale, vu que ce genre de bars n'existent pas du tout en France.
