This series is based on the anime Princess Sarah.
Seira is a rich Japanese teen girl living in India with her father. She decides to come back to Japan to become a student in a very rich and prestigious highschool. Her dad gives money to the school principal (Chieko Mimura). Everything is fine for Seira, who has very good grades and learning skills. Until her dad dies, and the monthly money given to Chieko is stopped. Seira, then, becomes poor. That is when Chieko, the school principal, starts to be mean towards Seira. She used to be in a beautiful bedroom but the principal gives her a new room, a very dusty one, with spiderwebs everywhere, broken windows and very cold room, no heater. Her classmates also bully her. But Seira, who has a good soul, still is nice to everyone and tries her best to be loved and accepted again.

My opinion: It's a very beautiful TV series. Very touching story. Through the whole episodes, you see Seira having a hard life, after she becomes poor, the other students bully her, and the school principal is very mean towards her too. It's very sad. However, I like Seira's personality, some people may find her "weak", but I think she has a good personality. She always tries her best to be nice and peaceful with everyone, she doesn't lower to the levels of her bullies. That's a good thing. She's not vengeful, she is a beautiful person, inside and out. People like her are pretty rare nowadays. I like her personnality, she's like an angel. I also like her bound with Kaito, a nice boy who is one of the few people who support Seira and act nice to her.
So yeah, the drama is very sad but happy ending, don't worry. The only funny moments is when Emiko (the school principal's sister) is around. She's such a dork. A very silly character, which gives the drama a little of fun, it feels good because the main mood of this series is super sad. So I enjoy the little funny moments with the dorky woman Emiko.
I'm glad the series ends well, because of all the sufferings Seira went through, she deserves happiness. It's a beautiful story and a life lesson about not lowering yourself to the bullies's levels, and not seek revenge, and rather forgive. Beautiful.
The main actress, called Mirai Shida, is the same one who acted in "14 Sai No Haha" . She's very talented at acting, and makes us feel emotions. Good tv series, that I recommand to watch.
